About the Campaign
Education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty, unlock potential, and build a brighter future. Yet, in India, millions of underprivileged children struggle to access quality learning, essential school materials, and supportive environments that nurture their growth.
At Manav Charities, we believe that every child — regardless of their social, economic, or physical circumstances — deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive. Manav Education is our comprehensive initiative designed to address the multifaceted educational needs of children across India. It is a holistic, inclusive, and empowering program that combines formal and informal education, skill development, remedial support, and special education services, ensuring that no child is left behind.
Through this program, we aim to create opportunities, instill confidence, and equip children with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life while fostering awareness and acceptance in families and communities.

Our Vision
A world where every child receives quality education, equal opportunity, and support to fulfill their true potential, and where society embraces and nurtures the unique abilities of each child.
Our Mission
- To ensure access to quality education for underprivileged and marginalized children.
- To empower children with life skills, vocational training, and functional abilities.
- To provide holistic support, including shelter, nutrition, remedial guidance, and counseling.
- To promote inclusion and awareness, particularly for children with special needs.
- To inspire self-confidence, resilience, and independence among children, enabling them to lead meaningful lives.
Program Overview
GAP — Government School Adoption Program
Educate a Child Today
GAP is our flagship initiative aimed at supporting government schools and their students by providing essential educational materials. Many children in underprivileged families face absenteeism or school dropouts due to a lack of basic items like uniforms, notebooks, and shoes. Through GAP, we have adopted 60 schools across Bangalore, Bijapur, Belgaum, and Dharwad, covering approximately 9,000 children. Every year, we ensure that these children receive the necessary items to attend school confidently and without obstacles. By fulfilling these basic needs, GAP not only improves attendance but also enhances the quality of education and minimizes dropouts. Each child’s smile as they receive their uniform or notebook represents a tangible step towards educational equity.
SEC — Self Enhancement Course
Building Skills for Endurance and Success
SEC is designed to empower children with life skills, preparing them to navigate life’s challenges and become catalysts for positive change in their communities. Through 10 structured training sessions in classrooms, children develop self-confidence, communication skills, goal-setting abilities, and personal resilience. The program helps them understand their strengths and potential, equipping them with practical knowledge to stay ahead in today’s competitive world. SEC goes beyond academics — it nurtures critical thinking, leadership, and social awareness, ensuring children grow as well-rounded individuals capable of shaping a better future.
- Access to annual health benefits up to Rs. 10,000 for medical care
- Awareness programs about health, safety, and social entitlements
- Community engagement activities to reduce isolation and promote active participation
Through these services, we aim to protect, empower, and honor senior citizens, ensuring dignity and care in their later years.
Manav Home for Children — Child Care Institution (CCI)
Caring for Vulnerable Children
Manav Home for Children is a registered Child Care Institution under Section 41 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, dedicated to providing free education, shelter, and clothing for children in need. The program caters to children admitted by their mothers due to poverty, family instability, or strained parental relationships. Many children are initially shy, cautious, or reserved, yet they often display resilience, self-sufficiency, and determination. Through Manav Home, children receive rehabilitation services, comprehensive education, and a safe environment to nurture their growth. The program aligns with the UNCRC and Indian legal provisions, ensuring every child’s right to protection, education, and development.
RCC — Remedial and Counseling Centre
Enriching Intellectual and Emotional Quotient
The RCC provides scientifically designed remedial interventions to address scholastic challenges, career guidance, adolescent and family counseling, and emotional support. Equipped with standardized psychological and psycho-educational assessments, our team of psychologists, counselors, and remedial tutors works closely with children who show academic gaps or learning disabilities, particularly Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). RCC also guides families through the often confusing process of securing treatment and support, ensuring children receive timely and effective interventions. By combining assessment, counseling, and remedial instruction, RCC empowers children to overcome challenges and excel academically and personally.
Enhancing Functional Abilities of Children with Special Needs
Manav Special School provides an integrated approach for children aged 5–18+ years with intellectual, developmental, or learning disabilities. The school focuses on:
- Personalized education tailored to individual differences and functional abilities.
- Therapeutic interventions to enhance communication, motor skills, and social development.
- Family and community engagement to promote understanding and acceptance of disabilities.
Empowering Children for Better Opportunities
In collaboration with Federal Mogul and the Department of Women and Child, GOK, we provide vocational training in trades such as tailoring and two-wheeler mechanics for boys and girls below 18 years at government homes.
This program addresses the critical issue of skill gaps in underprivileged communities. Many children leave school early due to poverty or lack of transportation, often becoming child laborers. By providing vocational training, we equip them with skills for better employment and self-reliance.
Studies indicate that by 2025, India will face a shortage of skilled labor, and this program ensures that underprivileged youth contribute meaningfully to the workforce while securing their own futures.
Education for All
Manav Vidya Kendra is an informal school designed to prepare children to enter formal schools run by the Government of Karnataka.
The program emphasizes personal growth, interpersonal skills, and holistic development, complementing traditional academic learning. Informal education encourages exploration, creativity, and critical thinking, giving children the tools to navigate complex educational and social challenges.
This initiative ensures that children who are out of school or have learning gaps receive foundational skills to transition smoothly into mainstream education.
